ABC has announced that former “Dawson’s Creek” star James Van Der Beek has been cast as a rookie footballer on their remake of the steamy BBC series “Footballer’s Wives.” (One thing I’m not clear on… will they be playing American football? or American soccer?) Turns out the cast for “Wives” already contains Kiele Sanchez, which means that I was right, her character will be killed on “Lost.” Probably. Or nothing will fucking happen, one or the other.

And at FOX, some Emmy-nominated actress will join Parker Posey in “The Return of Jezebel James,” a pilot created by Amy Sherman-Palladino. Parker Posey in a TV series?
