Good news from HBO today as an undisclosed number of episodes of “Flight of the Conchords” have been picked up to be aired in 2008. The 12 episode first season was great, managing to quickly distance itself from “Tenacious D.” Personally I think they should have nixed the “Appearing tonight: The Flight of the Conchords” poster from the credits–didn’t “Tenacious D” have almost exactly the same thing, always beginning with Paul F. Thompkins introducing the band at open mic night? Anyway the point is Bret and Jemaine offer a lot more than JB and KG ever hoped to, although not in body mass. Boo ya!!!
